Dear Hope Nation,

Today’s letter will be shorter than normal. As it happens, I am chair of a commission to build a monument to honor people in recovery and to memorialize people who have died of addictions. Senator David Watters of Dover was the driving force behind this effort, and he deserves all the credit.

Because the commission wants to hear from people in recovery and those left behind, we’ve heard testimony from a fair number of people, some from the Hope community. We’re also hearing from people whose loved ones have died.

As you might guess, it’s a pretty daunting challenge to figure out what will best serve such a large number of passionate and concerned folks. To help with that, the commission has put together a fairly quick survey to get a sense of the population. Here’s a link:

Enjoy this respite from my longwindedness and please use the time you’ve saved to fill out the survey. Thanks.

You matter. I matter. We matter.

Keith
