Hope for the Winter at the Twelve, a collaboration between Hope and 1269, offers a safe drug/alcohol-free warm place to get out of the cold, friendly and knowledgeable staff members in recovery, hot coffee, and, perhaps most important, respect. We want people to be alive and healthy. Winter weather makes each of these a challenge.  We are collaborating to help as many homeless people as possible survive with all their extremities intact.

Hope for the Winter at the Twelve costs money.  The budget is $65,000, about $17 per night per guest.  To this point, the burden of the cost falls to Hope and the 1269 Café.  Incurring these costs would only add strain to both organizations.  We believe, we trust, we rely on you of goodwill to support this effort. It is not clear what, if anything, the City will provide.  But we are committed to finding a way.

With your help, we can make this work.
